Alden Ehrenreich made his debut as the young Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story two years ago. Since then, fans have seen the Skywalker Saga wrap up, now heading to a new era in the franchise. However, between Solo and The Rise of Skywalker, Ehrenreich took a break, with no word about his future as the young Han… until now.

In a new profile by Esquire, Ehrenreich opens up about taking a break after the Star Wars film as well as his outlook about his future in the franchise. "I took some time off after Solo," he said. "Just because it was basically a three-year experience from pre-production to the release of the movie."

"And I just wanted to be a person, connect with people in my life, spend time and develop as a person outside of those worlds," the actor added. "And then you never know."

When asked if he would return as Han Solo, he revealed that it "depends" on what the project is and "how it's done." It'll also depend if his return "feels innate to the story."

That said, Ehrenreich reveals he doesn't know "anything" about a Solo sequel in the works. "I mean, you know, I think our movie was kind of the last of the conventional-era Star Wars movie release time," he added. However, Ehrenreich revealed he heard "some stuff" though there's "nothing concrete."
