According to The Illuminerdi, Power Rangers and Aladdin actress Naomi Scott have received a callback for Kenobi. The site has also come up with a list of roles for the series, and it's said that Scott is up for the role of Riley. Here's the full breakdown:

Riley (aka Eve)Female (20-25) CO-LEAD – A female BIPOC whose character details are being kept under wraps

Tia Female (30s) SUPPORTING – BIPOC

Harold Male (Late 20s-30s) SUPPORTING – A quirky, comedic male

Bella Female (40s) SUPPORTING – Latinx

Before you scratch your head at a Star Wars character named ‘Harold', these are likely placeholders while the series is still looking for more characters. Surely while everything proceeds, we're going to get the reveal of the character names eventually.

Besides Scott, other actresses said to be considered for the role of Riley include Thuso Mbedu (The Underground Railroad) and (What the Folks). So far, it looks like Scott is the one who is the biggest celebrity among the actresses in the callbacks.

While no release date has been set for the Kenobi series, it's said that the show is expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2022, with Andor taking the spotlight in 2021. While Kenobi was originally a film, it seems like Lucasfilm is more comfortable pushing forward with a series instead. Hopefully, it pays off.

For now, catch The Mandalorian Season 2 now on Disney+.
