While there’s no Season 2 yet, fans have a new project to look forward to with the upcoming Akiba Maid War stage play, which just got a new teaser visual.
This upcoming theatrical production has been known by fans for some time now, but finally, the two main stars have been revealed in the new teaser.
Anime stage adaptations are nothing new, but it’s interesting to see that Akiba Maid War is getting one. Though it makes sense given that it’s one of Fall 22’s surprise hits.
Akiba Maid War – A Surprise Fall 2022 Hit
It’s fair to say that Fall 2022 was one of the biggest anime seasons over the past few years.
Aside from seeing the return of Bleach, it also featured heavy hitters like Chainsaw Man, as well as unexpected gems like Bocchi the Rock!
Another show that got quite a bit of attention is Akiba Maid War. What’s interesting about it is that it’s one of the few shows of Fall 22 that’s entirely original.
While it may look like a bog-standard cutesy maid anime at first, Akiba Maid War is far from a typical show as it’s a dark yet hilarious series where Akihabara maid cafés are shown to engage in ruthless turf wars.
Given the series’ relative success, fans are hoping that it gets renewed for a second season.
While there’s no announcement yet, there is at least hope that a new anime will be made given that a stage play is happening soon.

Akiba Maid War Stage Play Gets First Key Visual
The upcoming stage play was announced back in December following the end of the anime’s first season.
From the looks of it, the play will adapt the entire 12-episode anime.
While it was announced as early as December, it is only now that fans are given their first proper look at the play with the new visual.
This visual features the two main characters, Nagomi Wahira and Ranko Mannen. You can check it out here:
Playing the role of Nagomi is Hinata Sato while Ranko is played by Hotaru Nomoto.
Both actresses have also played voice roles in anime, including the idol anime Revue Starlight.
The Akiba Maid War Stage Play will run from September 6 to 10 at the Hakuhinkan Theater in Tokyo.
For now, there’s no word yet on whether the play will get another run in the future.
