While the anime may have finished airing, those who haven’t seen it yet have more reason to do so as Akiba Maid War announced the release date of its English dub along with the principal cast members.
It took a while for the anime’s English dub to get a release date, but better late than never, as they say.
Plus, the wait won’t be long now as the dub’s first episode is set to premiere just a few days from now.
Akiba Maid War English Dub Cast
While most of Fall 2022’s big anime titles are based on manga or light novels, Akiba Maid War is one of the few exceptions.
Even though it’s made by Cygames (the game development studio behind Granblue Fantasy), the anime is a brand-new IP. Though its setting, and at least part of its premise, should be familiar to most anime fans.
After all, its story follows Nagomi Wahira, a 17-year-old who starts working at a maid café in Akihabara.
It soon turns out that her maid café dreams are far from reality as Akihabara is filled with lots of rival cafés, leading to violent maid wars.
The show’s Japanese dub features several well-known voice actresses, including Rina Satou (Mikoto Misaka in A Certain Scientific Railgun) and Reina Kondou (Nikaido in Dorohedoro), among others.
Though for anime fans who prefer watching their shows in English, the new English dub release is great news. Along with that, here is the English dub’s voice cast:
- Alyssa Marek (also Michiru Horikawa in Chihayafuru 3) as Nagomi Wahira
- Chaney Moore (also Serizawa in Bloom Into You) as Ranko Mannen
- Cat Thomas (also Momo in The Executioner and Her Way of Life) as Yumechi
- Christina Kelly (also Seri Kikyō in Call of the Night) as Shiipon
- Teresa Zimmerman (also Marie in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV) as Manager

Akiba Maid War English Dub Release Date, Platform
Akiba Maid War's first season aired outside Japan via HIDIVE, where it was available in the US and other countries.
The show became a moderate hit as it gained a dedicated fanbase during its run.
Though currently, there’s no official announcement yet regarding a second season.
But the fact that the anime is getting an English dub means there is probably enough interest in the show outside Japan.
So, we might just see a Season 2 announcement in the future.
In the meantime, you’ll be able to watch Akiba Maid War in its English dub beginning on January 14 at 12:00 PM EST / 9:00 AM PST exclusively on HIDIVE.
