Jump Festa 2024 was a massive event filled with lots of big announcements. Among the reveals at Shonen Jump’s big event is the fact that the popular VA Ai Fairouz is joining the Kaiju No. 8 cast.
Fairouz is joined by another notable voice actor who is joining the cast. These two VAs showed off their vocal chops in the anime’s third trailer, which shows off more action-packed clips.
Power VA Ai Fairouz Is Joining the Kaiju No. 8 Voice Cast
Ai Fairouz is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand voice actors in anime right now. Fairouz has gotten huge roles over the past two years, including Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Power in Chainsaw Man.
In 2023, Fairouz also played lots of characters such as Cecily in KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, Slime in Ragna Crimson, and Rinia Dedorudia in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation 2.
Fairouz’s latest role is Kikoru Shinomiya in Kaiju No. 8, one of the series’ main characters. Shinomiya is part of the Defense Force alongside Mina Ashiro, who is one of the show’s protagonists.
Also joining the cast alongside Fairouz is Kengo Kawanishi. He will play Soshiro Hoshina, another Defense Force member who will play a big role in the show’s events.
Kawanishi is a popular VA who is best known for playing Eita Otoya in Blue Lock, Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer, Nahoya Kawata in Tokyo Revengers, and Ritsu Sohma in Fruits Basket.

Kaiju No. 8 Anime Gets Third Trailer Ahead of Spring 24 Premiere
These new VAs were revealed at the Kaiju No. 8 showcase, which also saw the reveal of the anime’s third trailer.
Given that Kaiju is one of the most popular ongoing manga in Shonen Jump+, this anime adaptation has been promoted with several main and character trailers.
This latest trailer gives fans their best look yet at the anime as it features lots of action involving the two main characters, Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro.

Produced by Production I.G, the Kaiju No. 8 anime will premiere in Spring 2024. Fans outside of Japan will be able to watch the series on Crunchyroll.
Along with Kaiju No. 8, Jump Festa also featured lots of major announcements, including the One Piece remake from Wit Studio and the Chainsaw Man Reze Arc anime film.
