Ahsoka Star Rosario Dawson is Dismayed Following Major The Book of Boba Fett Death

The Book of Boba Fett finally served as the live-action debut of arguably one of Star Wars' most notorious and menacing villains in Cad Bane and while it looked like his arrival would be a major game-changer in the MandoVerse, the show's finale did the unthinkable and "killed" the Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels baddie.

Most fans are convinced that Bane, who was stabbed by Boba Fett during their heated encounter isn't actually dead as hinted by his life support apparatus but actress Rosario Dawson who plays the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano believes the character has in fact perished.

Taking to Twitter, Dawson expressed her dismay after learning about Cad Bane's fate in The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 7, even saying that her hopes of facing the ruthless bounty hunter in the MandoVerse were crushed. She wrote: "Watches finale of #BobaFett & welp! Hopes dashed…"

Considering Bane and Ahsoka have a shared history together, it would be a huge letdown if Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni actually eliminated him permanently from the MandoVerse, especially with the standalone Ahsoka series already lined up for release next year. Then again, Rosario is probably just messing with fans and is trying to play it coy to avoid suspicion regarding Cad Bane's potential appearance in her own spinoff series. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

All episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are now available for streaming on Disney+. Meanwhile, Ahsoka is expected to begin filming this year.
