Ahsoka: Mena Massoud Casting Rumor Sparks Again Thanks to Actor's Recent Tweet

During the Star Wars Celebration event last Saturday, Lucasfilm made some announcements about the upcoming Ahsoka series in which they revealed that several characters from Star Wars: Rebels will make their live-action appearance in the series and also unveiled exclusive footage of some of the scenes that they shot so far.

As usual, the plot details for the series are still under wraps except that it will center on the titular character's hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn. There have also been rumors that Ezra Bridger will make an appearance in the series, which was also teased during the event, and he will be played by Aladdin star Mena Massoud. So far, we haven't heard any confirmation regarding the actor's rumored casting in the series.

However interestingly enough, after the event last Saturday, Massoud tweeted a congratulatory message about the success of the Star Wars Celebration event and shared his excitement on seeing Ahsoka which caught a lot of attention of fans and sparked another speculation regarding Massoud's rumored casting in the series.

A lot of fans replied to the tweet and questioned the timing and context of the tweet with some speculating that he is "breaking his NDA" about his possible involvement in the series. Massoud responded to one of his replies by saying that he is only just "wishing them all good luck."

While Massoud didn't make any confirmation about his rumored casting in Ahsoka, a lot of fans are convinced that the actor is giving a hint and he is pulling off an "Andrew Garfield" (who famously denied his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home prior to release). Of course, we will never know the true answer until Lucasfilm makes an official announcement or it gets reported by the major trades.

The Aladdin star has been rumored for several months that he's been cast to play Ezra Bridgers in live-action. While the actor has denied it, he did express his interest in taking the role and is also aware that he is being fancast to play the beloved character.
