Excitement and anticipation are slowly building for Rosario Dawson's grand return to the Star Wars franchise via the standalone Ahsoka series and if you haven't heard yet, the project which was first announced in late 2020 will serve as an extension of Star Wars Rebels, with fan-favorite characters from the show like Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Grand Admiral Thrawn all making their live-action debuts.

As it stands, production details about the show have remained scarce although a new report seems to offer some promising updates regarding its status. Star Wars Meg posted a new video suggesting that filming for Ahsoka might have already wrapped, especially after Ezra Bridger actor Eman Esfandi was recently spotted with a clean-shaven look.

Esfandi attended the premiere of his latest film The Inspection at the 60th New York Film Festival looking less rugged. If you've been following the actor on social media, you're very much aware that he grew out his hair and beard while filming Ahsoka.

To those unaware, the beloved Rebels hero is said to be sporting a bearded look in the series which is set a couple of years after the events of the animated show's final season. Timeline-wise, it would make a ton of sense to present Bridger as a more mature character both in physical appearance and in attitude.

As it stands, we've yet to get official word from Lucasfilm whether or not Ahsoka has wrapped filming and despite Eman ditching his bearded look, it doesn't necessarily indicate that cameras are no longer rolling for the project. There's a good chance that he just finished filming his scenes while his co-stars are still doing work on the show. Still, things are looking quite promising for the MandoVerse spinoff and the waiting game might have just begun.

Ahsoka is expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2023.
