Admiral Thrawn Possibly Getting Live-Action Debut in New Star Wars Project

It looks like another Star Wars Rebels character could soon return. New intel suggests that Disney is currently planning to introduce Admiral Thrawn in a live-action project.

The leak comes from insider Daniel Richtman who claims that the House of Mouse is interested in bringing Thrawn to live-action (via Comicbook.com). Although it is unclear whether the character will show up in a new film or series, there is a possibility that the leak is connected to a previous report about a different Star Wars Rebels character.

It was previously reported that Disney is currently trying to cast the live-action version of Ezra Bridger for a new Disney+ series. Interestingly, the casting call is looking for an actor in his 30s which means that the show could take place after the events in the Rebels finale. Since Ezra was last seen trying to go after Thrawn, there is a possibility that the show could also bring the villain into live-action.

Ezra and Thrawn are hardly the only Rebels characters who could soon show up in a live-action project. There have been speculations that Rosario Dawson is going to play Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2. In addition to that, some believe that Temuera Morrison will play Rex in the series. However, it is important to point out that these have not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
