Even with the divisiveness of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, a lot of fans can agree that Adam Driver gave a wonderful performance as Kylo Ren. Some might say that the writing underserved the character, but every time you see Driver on the screen as Kylo Ren, you can't take your eyes off him and there is a reason why he is one of the best actors working today.
Given the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in which (spoiler alert) Kylo Ren died, we might have already seen the end of Driver in the franchise unless they'll do a movie or TV series that takes back before the events of The Force Awakens or he will appear as a Force Ghost in a story set sometime after the sequel trilogy. If Driver was asked to return to the franchise, would he agree to it? Now, we have the answer.
In an interview with UNILAD, the Oscar-nominated actor was asked if he would ever be interested to return to the Star Wars franchise or possibly appearing in another movie franchise. He said, "No, I’m totally not against it. For me, it’s a filmmaker’s medium, so my only thing is working with great filmmakers. Whatever the size… it’s never been interesting to me, to an extent. There’s interesting things about working on both. I always just follow people I’d be interested in working with, and whether I’d be right for the part – things like that. No, definitely not averse."
There you go, Driver is open about returning to the galaxy far, far away. Just like most great actors, all that's most important for him is that he will be working with a great filmmaker. Most fans will definitely be delighted if Driver will make his return and reprise the role of Kylo Ren in whatever capacity.
Recently, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the sequel trilogy characters will be returning in a potential future project although she didn't specify if it will be in a movie or a TV show. Given that, the stars might be lining up for Driver to possibly return to the franchise if Kylo Ren will be involved in some capacity.
