Actor Lee Sang Bo Arrested in Gangnam After Committing Shocking Crime; Park Hae Jin's Name Got Involved

Actor Lee Sang Bo is in deep trouble after his recent arrest.

An actor for more than a decade, Lee Sang Bo first starred in the KBS drama Invisible Man Choi Jang Su in 2006. He then appeared in several series, including Daughters-in-Law, Romance Hunter, and Man Who Dies to Live.

But fans saw him on small screens for the wrong reason after multiple local networks reported his recent arrest.

Lee Sang Bo Arrested Over Drug Use

Korea JoongAng Daily shared a statement from the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, confirming that a man in his 40s was arrested on Saturday for drug use.

The man, who was later identified as actor Lee Sang Bo, was arrested at his house in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, after a civilian report disclosed that a "man running around the streets who looks like he is high on drugs."

On Monday, local news outlets confirmed with the authorities that the man was the actor and that he had been charged with Narcotic Control Act violation.

After the news broke, his Instagram account has been set to private. His agency is also yet to release a statement regarding the matter.

Lee Sang Bo's Arrest Affected Other Actors

Unfortunately, several actors have been affected by it as they were falsely accused, including Park Hae Jin and Lee Mu Sang.

As the public said Park Hae Jin fitted the description of the actor, his agency, Artist Company, sent a statement to MBC News to deny the reports about the actor's involvement in the arrest and case.

"We have confirmed that there have recently been groundless falsehoods spreading on online communities about Park Hae-jin having anything to do with the male actor in his forties who was arrested on charges of drug use," it said.

Lee Mu Sang's agency, Alien Company, sent a separate statement to Xportsnews to deny the claims.
