It’s still months before Spring 24, but lots of shows are already lining up to premiere at that season. Among these is the A Condition Called Love anime, which just announced its April 2024 release date.
The show’s premiere was confirmed via the anime’s official website. There, new character visuals for the show’s two leads were also revealed.
There’s no trailer yet for this upcoming rom-com, but the two main cast members have been announced. These two are no doubt familiar voices for many anime fans.
Popular VAs to Voice Main Characters of A Condition Called Love
A Condition Called Love is a high school romance anime following a 16-year-old high school girl named Hotaru Hinase. In the upcoming anime adaptation, Hotaru will be voiced by the ever-popular Kana Hanazawa.
It’s fair to say that Hanazawa is one of the most prolific VAs as she has voiced a myriad of characters in the past decade.
Among her iconic roles include Nadeko Sengoku in the Monogatari series, Akane Tsunemori in Psycho-Pass, and Mayuri Shiina in Steins;Gate, among many other characters.
Hanazawa has also played characters in more recent rom-coms, including Ichika Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets and Nagisa Kubo in Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible.
Joining Hanazawa is Chiaki Kobayashi who will voice Hananoi-kun, the love interest of Hotaru.
Kobayashi may not be as prolific as Hanazawa, but he’s arguably becoming one of the go-to VAs for many shows. After all, he’s the voice of Mash Burnedead in Mashle, Gabimaru in Hell’s Paradise, and Stark in Frieren.

A Condition Called Love Anime to Premiere in Spring 2024
A Condition Called Love follows Hotaru, a high school student who is disinterested in romance.
One day, she witnesses a public breakup between a girl and Hananoi-kun. Without thinking too much about it, Hotaru offers to share her umbrella with him as the snow starts to fall.
Hotaru’s life soon takes a turn as Hananoi-kun proceeds to confess his feelings for her at school the following day.
Animating this upcoming series is East Fish Studio, a fairly new anime studio that was only founded in 2017.
The studio doesn’t have many projects yet, but it has worked as a support studio for other productions.
A Condition Called Love will be released in April 2024. There’s no word yet on a specific release date or a streaming platform partner outside of Japan.
