A Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Event is Happening This Weekend

This weekend is a great time to go back to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Treyarch has just announced via Twitter that it will be having its Double XP weekend until Monday, 10:00 a.m. PT. As usual, the Double XP event will be available for both the multiplayer modes and the zombie mode, so take your pick.

PC players have the additional bonus of free play for the rest of the weekend. Over at the official Steam page, players can download the game at no charge and enjoy a run on Steam.

If you want to play the rest of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, the store page is also offering it at half the price during the free play weekend. This is a great bargain, especially if you rack a couple of XP during this run.

Make sure you've gotten all the XP points you can have by Aug. 8, 10:00 a.m. PT as that will be the last day for the free-play event.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is one of the better installments of the franchise that's set in the future arena of soldiers. The next one, which will be developed by Infinity Ward, is titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, set to release on Nov. 4.
