Thor: Ragnarok is having its first big media blitz with a new Entertainment Weekly cover featuring a first look at Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hela (Cate Blanchett), and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) in the film. It didn't take long for Marvel Studios to release a new batch of nine images from the Taika Waititi-directed film.
In the photos, we see Jeff Goldblum's The Grandmaster - the brother to Benicio Del Toro's Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy. We also get to see a new photo of Cate Blanchett's Hela, and it looks like Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie will have a bigger supporting role than we expected. We also get to see a photo of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), but still no signs of The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) around.
Synopsis:
Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
Thor: Ragnarok will be released in theaters on November 3.
