2PM Jinyoung received an unexpected message from JYP Entertainment CEO after winning multiple awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2022.
The singer-actor took home two major categories for his performance in MBC's The Red Sleeve Cuff.
With this, JYP Entertainment boss Park Jin Young took to social media to congratulate the 32-year-old heartthrob for his recent achievement.
JYP Entertainment CEO 'Proud' of Lee Junho's Achievement
On his official Instagram account, the agency CEO shared a series of photos featuring Lee Junho alongside a heartfelt message for the actor, lauding how proud he is of his achievement.
"Honesty, integrity, modesty. If you make these into one word? Lee Junho. Yeah, the world is unfair. But if you give it more and more time, it becomes more fair. Junho, I'm so proud of you. Congrats!" JYP Entertainment CEO wrote.
Over the comment section, fans expressed their support for the actor, pointing out that he deserved to win the award.
In addition, others also thanked CEO Park Jin Young for recognizing Lee Junho's talent.
Lee Junho Bags Best Actor at Baeksang Arts Awards 2022
2 PM's Junho defeated four fellow nominees, including Kim Nam Gil for his role in Through the Darkness, Lee Jung Jae for Squid Game, Im Si Wan in Tracer, and Jung Hae In for Netflix's D.P.
With this, Lee Junho was hailed as Best Actor at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards.
On the other hand, the Best Actress trophy goes to Kim Tae Ri for her performance in Twenty Five, Twenty One. The 32-year-old beauty outshined award-winning actress Kim Hye Soo in Netflix's Juvenile Justice, Park Eun Bin for The King's Affection, Lee Junho's co-star Lee Se Young in The Red Sleeve Cuff and lastly, Han So Hee for My Name.
Apart from winning the Best Actress and Actor award, both Kim Tae Ri and the 2PM member also took home the TikTok Popularity Award.
Interestingly, not only did Lee Junho win two awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2022, but he also made history as the first idol-actor to win Best Actor award at the prestigious ceremony.
During his acceptance speech, he described himself as a "dreamer" and revealed how he wanted to win the award.
As he expressed his gratitude to those who believe in him, he said, "I'm a person who dreams for the things I want to achieve. I dream of becoming a better person, one that all of you or myself are satisfied with. I will do much better in the future," he said.
