Black Adam Gets Its First Official Teaser Telling the Adam’s Origin Story

DC fans have certainly been enjoying themselves this weekend. Not only has DC Fandome brought exciting new announcements about upcoming DC releases, but the virtual entertainment and comic book convention has also brought with it a string of previews, including the very first teaser for Black Adam.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed the teaser for Black Adam during a panel for DC Fandom and while the video doesn't reveal actual footage, we do get to see concept art with The Rock's narration.

You can check out the video down here:

Featuring beautiful art from BossLogic and Lineage Studios, the video talks about how Teth-Adam struggled to free his nation, Kahndaq, from oppression. In order to do so, Teth-Adam decides to become the magical hero Black Adam.

"There are many variations and iterations of Black Adam that we have all fallen in love with over the years, and what I can promise you is a Black Adam that I feel in my heart is the right one to root our story in the beginning, this origin story," Johnson said during his segment in DC Fandome, "This is a character that will possess all the qualities that we have loved, regardless of what variation of Black Adam you've loved."

It's going to be interesting to see The Rock's iteration of Black Adam make his way to the big screen. We're excited to see one of DC's biggest villains make his debut next year.

Black Adam is set to premiere on December 22, 2021.
