X-Men's Storm Reportedly Getting Her Own MCU Spin-Off Film

It's no secret that Ororo Munroe is one of the most beloved members of the X-Men although she never really got the chance to show off her full capacity in the live-action movies. But is it finally time to shine the spotlight on the fan-favorite mutant? A new report reveals that Marvel Studios is already developing a standalone film that will focus on Storm.

According to Giant Freakin Robot, Marvel Studios is currently developing a project that will be titled Marvel's Storm. The details about the project were not disclosed but there is little doubt that it will be all about Ororo. Some have even pointed out that it could explore the comic book character's origin story and ultimately introduce the rest of the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We're loving the idea that Storm could finally get her own movie after having to stand in the sidelines throughout the X-Men films released by 20th Century Fox. After all, the mutant had been played by two amazing actors (Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp) but never got to stand out in any of the movies.

We're hoping that it's finally time to see more of Storm but it's also important to point out that the report is not yet confirmed. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

What do you think of a possible X-Men spin-off film about Storm? Is this a great idea for the MCU? Sound off in the comments below.
