Transformers: The Rise of The Beasts Casts Original Hellboy Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal

Transformers 6 just announced another awesome addition to its cast. Original Hellboy star Ron Perlman has just been confirmed to provide the voice of Optimus Primal in Transformers: The Rise of The Beasts.

Perlman is the first confirmed voice actor for The Rise of The Beasts, which will introduce characters from Beast Wars into the live-action film franchise. He had previously played Optimus Primal in the animated series Transformers: Power of the Primes. The character was originally voiced by Garry Chalk in the animated Beast Wars show.

We're loving the idea of Perlman playing Optimus Primal all over again. After all, the Pacific Rim star has a distinct and powerful voice that lends a certain toughness to his characters. This is why Perlman has been the narrator of Fallout right from the start.

Perlman is known for several voice acting jobs. He is the voice of Lord Hood in the Halo video games and played the Stabbington Brothers in Tangled. Perlman also provided the voice of The Lich in Adventure Time and the cyclops Polyphemus in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

The official title of Transformers: The Rise of The Beasts was announced last week. It was also confirmed that the film will still focus on Optimus Prime while also introducing the Maximals into the live-action franchise.

Transformers: The Rise of The Beasts will also star Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, and Lauren Velez. The film is scheduled for release on June 24, 2022.
