Spider-Man 4 Reportedly in Development Amidst Ongoing Spider-Man 3 Filming

Spider-Man 3 might still be in production but it looks like Sony and Marvel Studios are already looking towards the future. A new report confirms that a fourth Spider-Man film is already in development and could begin filming soon.

Mail Online recently reported about Spider-Man 3's ongoing production in Atlanta and shared several photos taken on the set of the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. Although this isn't anything unusual, the report does add an interesting note about a possible Spider-Man 4.

"A fourth film in the franchise is reportedly in development," the report reads.

This is exciting news for fans who have been hoping that Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies will be more than just a trilogy. On the other hand, a fourth Spider-Man film could mean that Holland and director Jon Watts' schedules will be very tight.

It was confirmed during Disney Investor Day that Watts will be directing the upcoming Fantastic Four movie for Marvel Studios. Although that particular project does not have an official production start date just yet, it is already in active development and is set to be Watts' next project after Spider-Man 3.

So what could this mean for Spider-Man 4? There is a possibility that although the fourth film is already in development, it could take longer for Watts to begin working on it. However, it's also possible that a new director will be brought in for the fourth Spider-Man movie.

Although we're excited about the idea of Spider-Man 4, it's important to point out that Sony and Marvel Studios have not made an official announcement about the sequel. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
