Snake Eyes: Henry Golding Explains G.I. Joe Character's Love-Hate Relationship with Storm Shadow

We're finally getting more updates on Snake Eyes as the G.I. Joe spin-off film is getting closer to its premiere. So what do we need to know about Henry Golding's character and his arch-nemesis Storm Shadow? Golding has explained the complex relationship between Snake Eyes and Andrew Koji's villain.

Golding recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about working on the movie and understanding his character. After all, Snake Eyes is one of the best-known characters from Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise and it's important that his story should be told properly.

Not surprisingly, Golding pointed out that it was essential to flesh out the complications between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow since they are both very important to each other's story.

"Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, their brotherhood/relationship is one of the most famous in the G.I. Joe lore," Golding said. He continued by pointing out that the two have gone through a lot together so it would make sense that they have an existing bond.

"They have such an interesting, forever-wavering relationship of hate and love. They love each other as brothers because they've been through the same thing," Golding said.

Fans are well aware of the connection between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow and we'll certainly be seeing just how complicated that relationship is in Snake Eyes this July.

Snake Eyes is directed by Robert Schwentke and also stars Andrew Koji, Haruka Abe, Samara Weaving, Úrsula Corberó, Peter Mensah, and Iko Uwais. The film is scheduled for release on July 23, 2021.
