Marvel fans are undoubtedly overjoyed now that the first teaser for Eternals has been released. However, the brief video also made Game of Thrones fans very happy as they celebrated the reunion of Robb Stark and Jon Snow.
The Eternals teaser actually shared our first look at Kit Harington as Dane Whitman aka Black Knight. The reveal is a welcome one since the character was notably absent in the first footage from Eternals that was featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe promo a few weeks ago.
Not surprisingly, Game of Thrones fans is not referring to Harington or Black Knight. Instead, people are tweeting about Robb and Jon's reunion.
It's no surprise that fans are reacting this way. After all, Robb and Jon were last seen together in the second episode of the first season of Game of Thrones. In The Kingsroad, Jon was sent to the Wall but not before he shared a few last words with his brother. Interestingly, Robb remarked that the next time he will see Jon, his brother will be "all in black."
It's a touching thought considering that Harington is playing Black Knight while Richard Madden will portray Ikaris, the leader of the Eternals. Looks like Harington has still been cast as the underdog (Dane is human unlike the immortal Eternals) while Madden is still something of a king.
Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao and also stars Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. The film will hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
