Avatar 2 Producer Shares New Details About Jake and Neytiri's Family

We're still not sure exactly what will happen in Avatar 2 and the other sequels that James Cameron is currently working on. Luckily, producer Jon Landau has filled us in on some interesting details about the films and it looks like Jake and Neytiri's family will be facing yet another major problem with their home.

Landau recently spoke to RNZ about Avatar 2 where he revealed that there will be fewer people working on the movie once they resume production. "We're bringing really those who are essential to our filming needs and we'll be working with the same crew that we had in New Zealand," he said before sharing some details about the plot.

"This is the story of the Sully family and what one does to keep their family together. Jake and Neytiri have a family in this movie, they are forced to leave their home, they go out and explore the different regions of Pandora, including spending quite a bit of time on the water, around the water, in the water," Landau said.

This isn't exactly what most fans would want to hear considering that the Na'vi already lost Hometree in the first film and had to find a new place to live. If they have to move again in the second movie, we're hoping that it's somewhere they can stay in forever.

Avatar 2 is already scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.
