New Pokemon Game in Development From Fire Emblem Heroes Developers

If you thought there weren't enough Pokemon mobile games in the market, you're in for some good (or bad) news! Mobile game developer DeNA, who worked on the ridiculously popular Fire Emblem Heroes, is working on a new game based on Game Freak's popular franchise. The game itself doesn't have a name yet but if Heroes' reputation is anything to go by, it could be a brand-new gatcha game.

DeNA confirmed the game during the company's investor briefings, though no details for the game were announced. It's worth noting that DeNA has worked on a lot of Nintendo's mobile titles, including Super Mario Run, so the company has earned Nintendo's faith. It will be fun to see what type of game this ends up being, though a straight-up RPG similar to the normal games would be awesome.

While Super Mario Run does have its fans, Fire Emblem Heroes has ended up being the big money maker for Nintendo. Like most gatcha games, it relies on a free-to-play system that makes people get addicted to getting the best versions of their favorite characters, whether it be Chrom or Roy.

Can you imagine all of the Pokemon people will spend real money on in a gatcha game? That could be ridiculous.

No release date for this game has been announced. Pokemon GO and other Pokemon mobile games are now available for download.
