Dragon Ball Super Star Causes Flame War Over Gohan

Gohan is a divisive character amongst the Dragon Ball community, with a lot of people either loving his pacifist nature despite his strength or hating it. The character has definitely had some cool moments and many fans are still upset that his time as the series' main character was taken away from him by Goku during the Buu Saga. His screen time in Dragon Ball Super has also split audiences, with most agreeing that the writers should decide if Gohan wants to fight or not since his motivations can get muddy.

Christopher Sabat, the voice of Vegeta, Yamcha, and Gohan's dad Piccolo does not care for the character and basically started a flame-war on Twitter for calling the character boring. A lot of fans started debating about this, with Sabat offering additional comments on his stance.

It all started when TeamFourStar member Scott Frerichs (aka Kaiserneko) was complaining about how Videl's character regressed from being a martial artist in Z to a basic housewife in Super. Videl has trained to be a fighter all her life so it's easy to see why fans were upset when Toei Animation just made her a housewife.

This is when Sabat chimed in and claimed that Gohan is the reason she stopped fighting, saying that "Gohan is the most milquetoast character in the show."

As if that wasn't painful enough, Sabat humorously summarized Gohan's entire arc in Super with one Tweet and it's hard to disagree with him. To make matters worse, Gohan isn't even in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Granted, the film shouldn't have too many characters but his exclusion over someone like, say, Piccolo, is just sad.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is now showing in American cinemas.
