Birds of Prey TV Spot Reveals Why Black Mask is Hunting Down Harley's Crew

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is going to be the first superhero movie coming out this year, with a lot of fans looking forward to DC's latest efforts. DC and Warner Bros have been telling us that this is going to be one of the more unique films based on a comic book, though most people have had a hard time figuring out the plot. Thanks to a new Birds of Prey TV spot, we now know one of the main plot points.

The TV spot below confirms that Cassandar Cain has stolen a diamond that belongs to Black Mask. Oddly enough, this diamond isn't just something that will make people rich but will supposedly make Black Mask "unstoppable." This implies that the diamond is going to give the character powers, which is interesting, to say the least.

Since this is a TV spot, there's only a bit of small footage but we do get to see Black Mask wear his black mask again. That was already shown in the second full-length trailer but it'll always be a cool visual, though we're hoping that the character ends up being one of the DCEU's better villains. Let's be honest guys, the cinematic universe doesn't have a lot of great villains.

Fans will be able to check out Birds of Prey next month, on February 7.
