In last week's episode, Jahy finally obtained a piece of a mana crystal. Despite enjoying the fruits of her labor, seeing Druj again has changed the atmosphere.
The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! is about Jahy, the once fearsome number two ruler of the Demon Realm. After a magical girl destroys the realm, Jahy finds herself living like an ordinary human.

The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! Episode 3 Recap
After obtaining a chunk of a mana crystal from a bird's nest, Jahy is happily wearing an even bigger mana necklace around her neck now. Basking in the additional power that the crystal gives her, she ends up working longer hours—she can stay in the adult form at longer times now, after all.
Since she feels closer to returning to her status as the Demon Realm's number two authority figure, she craves praise and attention. Unfortunately, her boss simply finds her adorable and makes her use the mana crystal for mundane things, such as cleaning the sink.
Jahy decides to meet up with Druj since she knows that Druj is her loyal servant. She brags to Druj about the new chunk of mana crystal that she obtained, only for it to backfire on her after finding out that Druj has already collected a truckload of mana crystal shards. She decides to exaggerate her story to seem like the "Great Jahy" that Druj views her as.
As Jahy was about to open up shop, she bumps into Druj at the entrance. She panics for a moment, considering Druj should be the last person to see her working as a waitress. She asks her boss to let her pretend to be the owner for the night. Jahy serves her a bunch of food and drinks, offering to treat her. Druj's reactions of praise and appreciation placed a smile on Jahy's face. That smile immediately disappears by the end of the night since Druj's bill ended up being three days' worth of pay for Jahy.
