In this supernatural anime, Noe, a young man in 19th century Paris, is looking for the Book of Vanitas, a supposedly cursed grimoire. His search leads him to meet Vanitas, a human who took his name from the original vampire author of the grimoire and now uses the book to cure vampires of their bloodlust. The two men join forces, but the danger is lurking that may be responsible for the corruption of an increasing number of vampires.
