One series that seems to be on everyone’s lips ahead of its April premiere is Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro. A teasingly fun romantic comedy, this series is all about a girl who just loves to flirt with her senpai in the form of teasing and making fun of him whenever she gets the chance (which is basically on any day that ends in Y).
Originally a web manga created by Nanashi which runs in Magazine Pocket, a web and app-based manga magazine published by Kodansha, since November 2017 this series has gained a cult following and has nine volumes in print in Japan as of November 2020. Kodansha is also releasing the manga in English and is up to six volumes on this side of the Pacific.
Don't Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro will premiere in the very wee hours of the morning on April 11th!
As stated, this series is going to be airing in the wee hours of the morning on April 11th. How early? It airs at 1 am Japan Standard Time, which means it'll premiere on this side of the Pacific around 9 am Pacific/12 pm Eastern.
In the trailer, we meet Miss Nagatoro (played by Sumire Uesaka) and her target known simply as Senpai (played by Daiki Yamashita), and learn just how far she’s willing to go in order to tease the object of her affection which includes the occasional dreaded purple murple. Just be careful because only she can tease senpai.
As of the time I wrote this article, no one has announced this series as part of their spring simulcast lineup, so no online release date is available.
None of the anime streaming services outside of Japan has announced this series as part of their spring simulcast lineup as of this writing.
Don't Toy With Me Miss Nagataro is sure to be a smash hit when it premieres in April and fans of other romantic comedies along the same lines such as Teasing Master Takagi-san will certainly find something fun and enjoyable within these episodes!
