In the previous chapter, the close fight between Liu and Nitoku just escalated its intensity as the both fights get more bloody-violent with their killer moves. We also get to see a flashback of Toku's past. Toku realized that the world of literature was not his place since God gave him a different gift. Toku's friends teased him when he pursued his literature dream. One day at school, Toku received an offer of a sports scholarship, but he was focusing on his literature club. They told him that their school focuses on athletics, so his dream to become a novelist won't fit here.

Toku was told to give up on his dream since he wasn't considered a good writer. The higher-ups gave him an example of a boy who's a good mathematician but bad at baseball, and the boy chose to pursue baseball. They asked if the boy should switch careers then asked Toku if he would be happy to become a loser after following a dream with no future, and Toku wondered why he received the curse of unwanted talent. Fate forced an unwanted curse in his life, but his dark passion towards destiny made him stronger.

Toku's strength was acknowledged when he stepped into the Underground Martial Arts, and he had excellent records in various organizations. Then, Toku joined the Kengan Association, and he shone in the group more than ever. However, Toku was dfeated for the first time in the Underground Martial Arts after his arm broke. Agito was the fighter who defeated him, and Toku wasn't able to hit a powerful strike.

It was hard for Toku to swallow that defeat for a long time, but he recovered eventually. Then he returned to the Kengan matches and announced his candidacy for the tournament against Purgatory.

Back to the match, Liu is still locked under an armbar, and it looks like his arm is about to break. The commentators notice that Liu's ligament was torn, which might signal the end of the match. The grip of Toku's armbar is strong, and Liu is struggling to escape.

Toku says that he gave up on holding vengeance in the past, and he thinks it's pathetic to hold a grudge against someone. He says that he knows that it's just a game, but he doesn't want to lose. Liu tries to break free, but doing so might lead to a career-ending injury. Toku breaks Liu's elbow joint, but Liu is able to strike with his other hand. The chapter concludes with Liu landing a powerful strike on Toku.
