Multiple rumors about the Lucasfilm president's leave from the company have gone out over the years. However, there are a lot of uncertainties with regards to the future of the franchise, especially since it has been revealed that Game of Thrones showrunners made their exit on making a Star Wars project. And it looks like Kathleen Kennedy isn't sure until when she'll be in the company as well.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Kennedy opened up about the future of Lucasfilm. When asked about how much longer she'll be staying at the company, she responds, "I've really enjoyed this, I have to say. It's incredibly exciting." She said she felt a "tremendous responsibility" when George Lucas asked her to step in and take care of the franchise. She claims it's also a huge responsibility to "pull a team around" that cared as much as Lucas did when there's a new project to work on.

"It's been incredibly satisfying to reach this point where we've completed the saga and, I think, made a really wonderful movie," she added. For now, she says this is where her head's at. Kennedy adds, "And what the future holds, who knows."

That being said, people might have an idea about her time at Lucasfilm; since it was revealed that Kennedy's contract will put her in control of the company until 2021 (with Indiana Jones 5 being the last project). Till then, there's no telling if Kennedy would still be in-charge of Lucasfilm projects.

For now, you can check out Star Wars: The Mandalorian which is available to stream on Disney+. While The Rise of Skywalker premieres on December 20.
