Haikyuu!! to Stage New Play on Karasuno vs. Aobajosai Fight

The boys of the currently running stage play for Haikyuu!! will be reprising their roles once more following announcements for a spring performance. This time, the focus of the stage play is the insane battle between Karasuno High School and Aobajosai's powerhouse team.

According to Anime News Network, the player will be titled Hyper-Projectin Gekijo Haikyuu!! Shosha to Haisha, which roughly translates to Hyper-Projection Stage Play Haikyuu!! Winners and Losers.

The play already has specific dates and locations where it will run in Japan. It will run on March 24 to 26, 2017 in Tokyo, Mach 31 to April 2, 2017 in Miyagi, April 13 to 16, 2017 in Osaka, April 21 to 23 in Fukuoka, and another one in Tokyo from April 28 to May 7.

All of the cast in the ongoing stage play will be reprising their roles. The play is titled as such because it involves video projections so that speech bubbles seen in manga can be projected onto the stage floor as well as a revolving stage.

The stage play will be directed by Worry Kinoshita, who will be joined by Norihito Nakayashiki for the script. They were also responsible for the previous stage play adaptations.

For those who follow the manga or anime, this particular arm of the story is a little intense, and the first time that the Karasuno boys will experience defeat from eh Great Demon King Oikawa Tooru who leads the powerhouse school Aobajosai.

The third season of the anime is ongoing. It will be slightly shorter than the previous seasons, as it focuses on the fight between Karasuno High and Shiratorizawa Academy, the best in the prefecture with stone-faced leftie ace Ushijima Wakatoshi.
