Zack Snyder Shares His Plans For Batgirl After Justice League

Zack Snyder has successfully completed his own cut of the Justice League. The film made a buzz all over the world with many positive reviews coming from fans and critics alike. With a massive film like that, it usually sets up a lot of other films into its connectivity.

This means that fans would be looking to the direct and see what else he has in store for the next projects in the DCEU. However, recent reports and statements from Warner Brothers CEO Ann Sarnoff have dampened the mood of the fans. It seems like they are no longer looking to work with Snyder at this point. Although that might change as the Snyder cut of Justice League was well-received.

Moreover, fans are also very persuasive. After all, the Snyder cut looks very impossible years ago yet look where we are right now.
Going back to the connectivity, the film was supposed to set up the Batman solo film with Ben Affleck directing the film.

Aside from seeing Affleck in his solo film as Batman, it will also set up a storyline with Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl. In an interview with Esquire, Snyder revealed that he wanted Barbara to come to the movies.

Basically, the idea was that after Batman sacrificed himself, there will be a period of time where there will be no Batman. Snyder thought that Barbara could fill in that time period until the child of Superman and Lois who has no powers will become Batman when he reaches the right age.

Snyder said:

I always wanted Barbara Gordon to come to the movies. Commissioner Gordon would be on the way out, and we'd have Barbara starting to play a bigger role. My idea was that after Batman sacrificed himself, there would be a window where there was no Batman, and I thought Barbara could fill that until the child of Superman and Lois, who has no powers, would become Batman when he was of age.

As of this moment, Snyderverse remains uncertain. Fans can still enjoy Zack Snyder's Justice League which is still streaming on HBO Max.
