DC FanDome Presents: “Wonder Woman 1984” Virtual World Premiere

Gal Gadot announced via Tiktok on Friday, December 12, that DC FanDome will come back on for another event to celebrate Wonder Woman 1984 virtual premiere. The upcoming premiere will be released on Tuesday, December 15, at 3 pm ET.

As long as the pandemic persists, DC FanDome will be here to help fans through the DC events. The DC FanDome is the DC events comics' event platform. It is an online event that basically serves as the digital comic convention. It is filled with panels for movies, TV shows, and comics.

The last DC digital convention was held last August 22, 2020, which was titled, DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse. The August event explored all the upcoming projects by DC alongside some teasers, trailers, and panels. The upcoming DC FanDome on December 15 will be solely devoted to director Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 84.

Taking place inside DC FanDome's Hall of Heroes, the premiere will begin by showing some behind-the-scenes featurette for the film. It will lead to the virtual red carpet event, which will be hosted by Tiffany Smith. At this time, Gadot, Jenkins, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Pine will be answering fan questions. Once it is completed, Hans Zimmer will be performing. His musical performance will be followed by a sneak peek of the movie.

In a statement, Jenkins and Gadot said:

"We have the best fans in the world and that's why we're so excited to celebrate the launch of Wonder Woman 1984 in such a big way. Having it be a virtual event allows us to share the moment with Wonder Woman superfans everywhere who might not otherwise have the chance to experience a movie premiere."

The virtual premiere is not entirely online. Some of the "lucky loyalty program members" will have the chance to watch the premiere on the big screen and the entire film in "safe theaters." Everyone else will have to wait 10 more days before they can see Wonder Woman 1984 in the Cinema-safe theaters or via HBO Max.

Wonder Woman 1984 virtual premiere will be available on DCFanDome.com, HBO Max app, and other Warner Media or DC social channels. The film will open both in theaters and HBO Max on December 25.
