In case you missed it, the release of Ezra Miller's solo The Flash film has been pushed back to November 4, 2022, from its original June 2022 schedule. As frustrating as it may sound, it leaves the door wide open for Andy Muschietti and his team to come up with a more compelling story for the upcoming DC film and possibly add more characters to the fold. Speaking of which, a new rumor suggests that Wonder Woman 1984 actress Gal Gadot is in talks to appear in the film which already has a stacked cast so far.

According to a report from The Illuminerdi, Gal is in fact being considered by Warner Bros. to star in the film in a supporting role. Details about her involvement in the project were not disclosed. Should negotiations turn out well, Gadot will be joining the returning Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton who will also be reprising his Batman role for the first time in 30 years. The Flash's cast is looking super star-studded so far.

One can't help but "wonder" (no pun intended) what Gal's potential role in The Flash would be but to me, at least, it's now looking pretty evident that they could indeed be doing an adaptation of the Flashpoint Paradox storyline from the comics where Wonder Woman becomes the evil Queen of Atlantis alongside a menacing and ruthless Aquaman as her King. That would be interesting for sure and it'll give Gal's goody-two-shoes character a fresh and edgier update. 2022 is a little too far away so let's see what they have up their sleeves.

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to release on Christmas day 2020.
