Captain Marvel is often regarded as one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe but even the seemingly invincible Carol Danvers needs some major backup especially now that Kang the Conqueror and other threats are looming in the multiverse.
This is why Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to feature not one, not two, but three different versions of Captain Marvel in the upcoming feature presentation The Marvels.
So far, we know that Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and newcomer Iman Vellani are confirmed for the Captain Marvel sequel but rumors have been circulating for months now that Adam Brashear aka Blue Marvel will also be making his MCU debut soon. In fact, the character was heavily teased in WandaVision as Monica Rambeau's aerospace engineer friend but nothing really came out of it.
Now, ahead of the film's 2022 release, Marvel Studios may have just found their guy who will bring Blue Marvel to life in live-action form. The often reliable Murphy's Multiverse is reporting that Samantha Jackson, assistant to actor Shamier Anderson has officially been added to The Marvels' listing. Not only that but Jude Law's assistant John Humber is also part of the said listing, pretty much confirming that the acclaimed actor will reprise his role as Yon-Rogg.

The site didn't exactly confirm whether or not Anderson has been cast as Blue Marvel but it's safe to assume that the rising actor will in fact play Monica Rambeau's love interest. Just like that, the MCU is already stacked with superhero teams for Phase Four.
One would think the Marvel Studios is overcrowding the plate but with Kang already shaping up to be a villain more menacing than Thanos, we could sure use more than just one superteam in the franchise.
The Marvels is scheduled to premiere on November 11, 2022.
