Warning: If you haven't seen the final episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 yet, this news contains major spoilers so read at your own risk!

The Mandalorian Season 2's epic finale is finally here and it may have already given us a major tease of what to expect for the third season. During the second act of the 16th chapter titled "The Rescue", Mando makes true to his promise of saving Grogu aka Baby Yoda from the clutches of Moff Gideon. Although he was defeated by the bounty hunter. Galactic Empire leader still had a reason to rejoice as he was successful in getting a sample of The Child's blood which he intends to use for his cloning plan.

That alone already establishes where Season 3's story is headed to but we also might have learned that Din Djarin will be facing a brand new foe with whom he already shares a strong connection. In Chapter 16, not only was Mando able to rescue Baby Yoda, but he also procured the famed Darksaber by defeating Gideon. The plan all along was for Bo-Katan to once again gain possession of the powerful weapon but apparently, it's not that easy as it was reasserted that she must defeat Mando in battle in order to take back the saber.

We thought for sure that the two will commence in battle right there but their attention was quickly diverted when Luke Skywalker showed up to come to their aid. Now, with Kryze's strong desire to get ahold of the Darksaber which by default would make her the ruler of Mandalore, it's safe to assume that she will do whatever it takes just to get it back. As for Din, as much as he would like to avoid a potential duel with Bo-Katan, he could be left with no choice. Could Bo-Katan be the next big thorn on Mando's side? We'll have to wait and see.

TheMandalorian Season 2's finale is now streaming on Disney+.
