We're months away from 2022 and if you've been following Lucasfilm's release slate for next year, you're very much aware that Ewan McGregor's standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi series is scheduled to hit Disney+ in a yet-to-be-determined month. The series recently wrapped up filming and unsurprisingly, we're getting ourselves new information about the project which will also mark the grand Star Wars return of Hayden Christensen aka Anakin Skywalker.

Familiar faces from the prequel trilogy as well as new characters are expected to appear in the series, including The Queen's Gambit star Moses Ingram whose role still remains a mystery to a lot of folks although the actress herself took to social media a couple of months ago to give fans a little teaser regarding her character.

Last May, Ingram took to Instagram to tease fans about her involvement in the series. Posting a training photo of herself on her Instagram stories, Moses was seen wielding a lightsaber, intriguingly a blue-bladed one which sparked speculation that she could be playing a Jedi character. You can check out the image here in case you missed it the first time around.

However, that's apparently not the case and a report from Star Wars News Net (via Star Wars Meg) claims that Ingram is set to play a female Inquisitor in the show, hence why she was seen on set wielding a lightsaber. Obviously, her usage of a blue saber was some sort of a diversion to leave a lot of fans intrigued.

There's been a persistent rumor that has been going on for months now surrounding the Inquisitors' (yup, not just one) appearance in Obi-Wan and it looks like there may actually be some legitimacy to it. Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but it's worth mentioning that The Inquisitors are loyal servants of Darth Vader and it would make a lot of sense for them to finally make their live-action debut on the series.

No official release date for Obi-Wan has been announced but it's expected to come out before Andor.
