There's been a persistent rumor that Kevin Feige isn't the biggest fan of Netflix's Marvel shows and while that was never confirmed, the fact that the said shows — from Daredevil to The Defenders aren't considered MCU canon pretty much sealed the deal for a lot of people. Of course, Marvel Studios was never involved in the creation of the aforementioned projects so it would make sense for Feige to not label them canon to the franchise's current continuity.
Shockingly enough, we've heard rumblings over the last couple of months that Marvel Studios could be bringing back some of the actors from the Netflix shows and the rumor all started with Charlie Cox who is reportedly said to be making his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Naturally, Cox has denied it continuously but that didn't stop the speculations.
Now, according to the latest scoop from Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, not only is Cox set to appear in No Way Home but he's also involved in the upcoming Echo series which is currently under development. Interestingly, Richtman says that the cast members of Daredevil will all return for the series with it being dubbed as Season 4 of the now-defunct Netflix program.

Season 4? Hmmm, So does that mean that the Netflix shows are finally canon? We don't know for sure but Phase Four is getting more and more intriguing as the months go by. Of course, as much as Richtman's insider scoops are oftentimes reliable, nothing has been officially confirmed yet so it's really hard to get all that excited. The future looks promising though and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Echo will star Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, who will first make her MCU debut in Hawkeye, premiering on November 24, 2021, exclusively on Disney+.
