Scarlet Witch fans are in absolute glee after learning that WandaVision will still be hitting Disney+ later this year as initially advertised and with the current content drought fans have been experiencing, this is some actual good news!
Now, Marvel Studios' Director of Visual Development Andy Park, who's also working on the show is hyping up its arrival on the streaming service. Sharing a painting of actress Elizabeth Olsen on Instagram, Andy expressed his excitement over the project and lauded Olsen's performance in the MCU. I hate to break it to you though as the artwork isn't exactly taken from the show but it's still enough to get you excited! Check it out below:
I can’t wait for you all to watch WandaVision! It’s so good! I always enjoy painting Wanda aka Elizabeth Olsen. She’s a great character & such a great actress! And no, this isn’t a shot from the show. It’s a crop of a keyframe I did for Cap: Civil War. #wandamaximoff #wandavision #elizabethoslen #captainamerica #civilwar #conceptart #characterdesign #digitalpainting #illustration #marvel #marvelstudios #andypark
Among all of the MCU series that are scheduled to hit the streaming service, WandaVision is arguably the one that shows the most promise due to its style and treatment which will be incorporating elements of a sitcom. It's definitely something fresh. Also, it's about damn time Marvel Studios put the spotlight on Wanda Maximoff who a lot of people believe to be (myself included, quite frankly) "The Strongest Avenger".
Aside from WandaVision, Olsen is also set to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, arriving in 2021!
