Disney's newsmaking acquisition of 20th Century Fox meant that the mutants are finally headed back home to Marvel Studios and while Kevin Feige's empire plans to reboot the X-Men, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool is in a pretty safe spot and fans are just waiting for both parties to make things official.

All we know for now is that Mr. Pool will be getting his own R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but there's always a possibility that we'll see him pop up in other MCU projects before Deadpool 3 drops.

Lo and behold, Wade Wilson FINALLY made his "official" debut in the billion-dollar franchise in the most Deadpool way possible. The people behind Ryan Reynolds' latest film Free Guy have released a hilarious video of the iconic Marvel anti-hero reacting to the film and he is joined by the beloved character Korg from the Thor franchise. You can check the video above.

Some of you may recall that Ryan made the entire world of social media buzz last June when he posted a cryptic image of Deadpool's mask packed ever-so-conveniently inside his bag. It's safe to assume that he wasn't bluffing when he set the internet ablaze and the reason for him carrying his Deadpool costume was to shoot the said promo for Free Guy.

As it stands, we still don't know when and how Deadpool makes his grand MCU debut but I'm already calling it now, it's going to be one heck of a riot. I've always believed that Reynolds would one day be crossing over to the billion-dollar franchise but I never expected Marvel Studios to give the actor their full trust. Things are about to get really exciting.

Free Guy finally hits cinemas this August. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 is under development.
