You may not be aware of this fact but Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were once married and according to reports, they had a pretty rough break up and have yet to bury the hatchet. When rumors circulated online that Ryan's X-Men character Deadpool is MCU bound following the Disney and Fox merger, Marvel fans who knew about his past relationship with the Black Widow actress were intrigued about the possibility of both actors being in one franchise together.

However, Natasha Romanoff's death in Avengers: Endgame pretty much dispelled any possibility of Johansson crossing paths with her former husband in the MCU. But since we're talking about Marvel here, anything is truly possible and for all we know, Black Widow could eventually make her way back to the fold.

But according to a new scoop from insider Daniel Richtman (via Patreon), Marvel Studios won't let any interaction happen between the two actors should Johansson find herself back in the franchise. Richtman explains that there's still animosity between the two. "RR and Scarlett are not on the best terms so Marvel will make sure they won't meet or work together in MCU," Richtman says.

Of course, just like any rumor, take this one with a grain of salt but previous reports have stated that the two are in fact still not on good terms. Now, you may be thinking, Natasha Romanoff is no longer alive in the current MCU timeline and while that's correct, there's still a great chance that the character could reappear in the franchise considering Marvel Studios is set to dive into the multiverse.

Meanwhile, Johansson's "final" MCU film Black Widow hits cinemas and Disney+ this July.
