It's official, folks! Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan can now call himself the beefiest male celebrity in existence as he has just been hailed by People as the world's sexiest man for 2020. The actor-producer has been selected by People for the 35th-anniversary of their famed "Sexiest Man Alive" issue which honors the world's hunkiest celebrities.
The announcement was made official via Jimmy Kimmel Live! which coincided with the cover's grand unveiling on social media. In the Kimmel segment, Jordan appeared in a yellow PPE of some sort as fans tried to guess who this year's Sexiest Man Alive actually is. Check it out here:
The Fantastic Four reboot actor reacted to his new accolade on Instagram and he seems pretty proud of it. I mean, why the hell not, right? Jordan wrote: "My grandma lookin down talkin bout "that's my baby". Thanks @People for naming me 2020's #SexiestManAlive."
In other news, rumors suggest that Michael could end up making his grand MCU return in Black Panther 2 to take over for the late Chadwick Boseman who passed away last August. Of course, no one could ever replace the one and only T'Challa but there's no denying that Marvel Studios would eventually need some serious backup heading forward. Of course, there's always a possibility of them resorting to giving Letitia Wright's Shuri a much larger role in the film but it'd also be nice to see Jordan get another shot in the franchise and get a redemption story for Erik Killmonger. Well, we'll see what happens next.
Black Panther 2 was supposed to begin production earlier this year.
