Spider-Man Far From Home: A Scene from the Trailers Doesn't Make It in the Movie

[MILD SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME]

There's been this new trend with movie trailers where they purposefully tweak some shots to misdirect the audience from any spoilers; they did it for Avengers: Endgame and they did it again with Spider-Man: Far From Home. As it turns out, one action setpiece from the trailers was completely left out in the film.

If you've seen the trailers, there's this one scene with Spider-Man taking out a bunch of mobsters in the Iron Spider suit, and afterwards, he has a fun interaction with the cops. The scene is nowhere to be found in the film, and I have a feeling they cut it out so they could immediately get Peter on his trip to Europe.

They even cut the scene where Peter talks to Mr. Delmar from the last movie. Odd since they had the character of Delmar appear in one of the tie-in promos for the film—specifically the in-flight video for United Airlines:

If you ask me, I kind of wanted to see more of Peter's day-to-day before he packed his bags. Then again, with all the stuff going on in Europe with Fury and Mysterio, I can understand why the bits ended up on the cutting room floor. I imagine adding them would have given us a 3-hour movie.

Hopefully, they release the scenes in home video, which could come out in four months. For now, catch Spider-Man: Far From Home now in theaters.
