Matt Reeves’ The Batman is set to bring back a bunch of characters from the comics from the Riddler to Penguin. One character that everyone is eager to see more of is Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman, and though we have a small tease of her costume in the official preview, some new set photos have Kravitz in some formal Selina get-up.

In the photo, you can actually see Selina next to Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and some are speculating as to the relationship between the two in the film. Is she getting close to Falcone to be able to steal from him? Some are even going so far as to speculate that she’s some kind of illegitimate daughter.

With the way that Batman’s costume is kind of practical in the trailer, I’m starting to think that the Catwoman outfit we see Kravitz wearing in the teaser is the final design. Then again, since this is a comic book film, I’m expecting she’s going to get some kind of official upgrade down the line—maybe from Batman, but Catwoman has always been able to fend for herself with no help from billionaire orphans.

While the film was already delayed to Halloween of next year, WB has been forced to push the film back to 2022. Though this is a big bummer for fans who just want Batman back on the big screen, I guess I would prefer to wait for a quality film than to get a movie full of compromises now.

The Batman is set to release on March 4, 2022.
