It's been seven years since the release of The Croods back in 2013, and the movie even did so well as to gain an Oscar Nomination for Best Animated Feature Film. What's great for fans is, a sequel is coming, and Dreamworks Animation just dropped the first trailer for The Croods: A New Age.

The Croods need a new place to live. So, the first prehistoric family sets off into the world in search of a safer place to call home. When they discover an idyllic walled-in paradise that meets all their needs, they think their problems are solved … except for one thing. Another family already lives there: the Bettermans.
Everyone from the first movie is actually coming back to reprise their roles from Nic Cage playing the part of Grug to Ryan Reynolds reprising the role of Guy. The newcomers to the franchise are Peter Dinklage and Leslie Mann, who play the Betterman parents, as well as Kelly Marie Tran who is voicing the Betterman daughter, Dawn.
With Dreamworks regularly ‘aging' the story as the core audience grows older, I have a feeling that they're going to be doing the same with this Croods sequel. While there will definitely still be some jokes and gags, I'm hoping that they keep to the core theme of family and try to grow the characters from there.
The Croods: A New Age is set to come out on Nov. 25.
