Godzilla: King of Monsters Toys Tease Possible 'Burning' Look for Godzilla

While Marvel and DC have been dominating the blockbuster market for a while, Legendary is set to make a huge splash with their release of Godzilla: King of Monsters. We already have a little idea of what we can expect from the movie, but some toys hint that we could be seeing the burning Godzilla look made popular by Heisei Godzilla from the late 80s.

The 2014 Godzilla was praised for bringing in a modernized look for the classic creature, but a lot of fans were floored when the final battle had Goji lighting up and using his atomic breath on the MUTO. It would be amazing what other elements from the classic films they could bring into the new ones. Who would have thought that we would be getting Mothra in a movie coming out in 2019; in the same movie with Rodan and Ghidorah no less.

While some are thinking that a clash with King Ghidorah should've been saved for Godzilla vs. Kong, there are actually a lot more kaiju monsters to pick from looking forward. Recent rumors have suggested that Biollante and Gigan are the next monsters coming to the big screen. Personally, I would have loved to see the giant turtle Gamera making an appearance.

Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When this ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of Monsters hits theaters May 31.
