It seems that 2023 is the year of anime delays as another big Summer 23 show has been delayed. Recently, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead announced that Episode 4 will be delayed on streaming platforms.
At the very least, the episode’s delay is quite short, meaning fans outside Japan will only need to wait a bit before getting to watch the next episode.
While this isn’t the worst delay out there, it’s not the best news to hear given the numerous anime that have been delayed over the last few months.
Even Summer 23 Is Not Safe From Anime Delays
Anime delays aren’t new, but Winter 23 saw a significant number of shows getting delayed.
One of the most affected shows was NieR: Automata Ver1.1a which only ended a few days ago, even if it was originally set to end in March.
Other shows that were seriously affected include Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, Ayakashi Triangle, and more.
Spring 23 was also not safe from delays, with big shows like Oshi no Ko, Gundam: Witch from Mercury, Hell’s Paradise, and more getting one-week delays for certain episodes.
While it seemed we were past the delays at this point, that wasn’t the case as there have already been some delayed shows in the Summer 23 season.
Perhaps the biggest is Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 which will go on a three-week break following the end of the Hidden Inventory arc in Episode 5.
Though this makes sense at least so that the staff can have more time to work on the Shibuya Incident, which is going to be the series’ biggest and most explosive arc.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Episode 4 Delayed, but Only on Streaming Sites
Now, another Summer 23 anime has been hit with a delay, and it’s Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead.
The show’s delay was announced via its official Twitter account. There, it was revealed that Episode 4 will be delayed by a few days on streaming services including Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix.
This is a unique situation though as the fourth episode will still be broadcast on Japanese TV during its original July 30 release date.
While the fact that the delay is short is good news, the hope here is that other episodes won’t be hit by longer delays as the season progresses.
Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Episode 4 will be released on streaming platforms on July 31 at 2:00 AM PT / 5:00 AM ET.
