Will Smith and Chris Rock's controversial altercation at the 2022 Academy Awards will most likely go down as the most shocking television moment of this year and during the heat of the issue, several stars aired their honest opinions regarding the "slap heard around the world" and that included The Batman star Zoë Kravitz.

The Catwoman actress was also in attendance at the award ceremony and shortly after the incident, she took to social media to throw massive shade at Smith's behavior. Shockingly enough, her comments backfired and now, she's reflecting on the things she said.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Kravitz finally addressed her comments on the Will Smith situation that ended up drawing her flak. According to the actress, she somewhat regrets sticking her nose in the issue and wishes she handled things quite differently.

Zoë said: "It's a scary time to have an opinion or to say the wrong thing or to make controversial art or statements or thoughts or anything. It's mostly scary because art is about conversation. That should, in my opinion, always be the point. The internet is the opposite of conversation. The internet is people putting things out and not taking anything in."

She added: "I'm torn about what to say right now, because I'm supposed to just talk about it; I have very complicated feelings around it...I wish I had handled that differently. And that's OK."

Last month, Smith reached out to Rock through an apology video. While the comedian didn't directly address Smith's expression of regret, he did joke about the incident during a stand-up show saying "anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face."

Going back to Kravitz, The Batman is streaming on HBO Max. Meanwhile, the film's sequel has yet to be officially greenlit.
