Zico will be heard in new music soon, two years after dropping Random Box.
Among the members of BLOCK B, Zico has the longest list of experience as a rapper, record producer, songwriter, and singer. Although he started his career with the boy group, he eventually went solo and tried different jobs in the music industry.
In the past two years, Zico has not been able to release new music because of his military service. Now that he is back, the rapper promised to share more music soon.
Zico Comeback 2022: Agency Confirms His 4th Mini Album
On July 13, a representative of Zico’s agency, KOZ Entertainment, delivered good news to fans.
As quoted by Naver, it was confirmed that the FANXY CHILD hitmaker would drop his 4th mini-album, Grown Ass Kid, on July 13. It added that further details would be released in the next coming days.
It will become his first album in two years after his 2020 mini-album, Random Box. The project included the song he recorded with Rain, titled Summer Hate.
The same last album also featured the hit Any Song, which became viral on TikTok.
In addition, it will become his first musical release after his discharge from the military service in April.
Zico Will Also Grace the Stage Again
Apart from his album, Zico will also join one of Japan’s major festivals, Summer Sonic 2022.
K-pop Herald confirmed the news on Twitter, saying, “@ZICO92 will be performing at Japan's biggest rock music festival, "Summer Sonic 2022," this summer. He will be showcasing a live session at the "Pacific Stage" on Aug. 21, re-visiting the stage in nearly six years! #SUMMERSONIC #ZICO.”
It will be the first time Summer Sonic in three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, it will finally return at ZOZO Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe Osaka and Maishima Sonic Park.
Zico will join other K-pop acts, including TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Kang Daniel, CL, and Seori.
