Zack Snyder's Justice League to Feature 'Violence and Profanity' with Batman Cussing

It's quite evident that Zack Snyder is going all-in with the upcoming release of his own cut of Justice League but if you thought the additional photography and inclusion of Jared Leto's Joker are the only surprises we'll get in the film, you got it all wrong as Snyder himself has teased that the four-part JL film (or series, if you wanna call it that) could be getting an R-rating right before its premiere on HBO Max.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, (Via ComicBook) Snyder excitingly revealed that his cut of Justice League will feature "profanity and violence" and Batman dropping some F-Bombs. "The movie is insane and so epic and is probably rated R — that's one thing I think will happen, that it will be an R-rated version, for sure. We haven't heard from the MPAA, but that's my gut."

Sharing why he thinks it'll end up getting an R-rating, Zack spoils one scene in the film: "There's one scene where Batman drops an F-bomb. Cyborg is not too happy with what's going on with his life before he meets the Justice League, and he tends to speak his mind. And Steppenwolf is pretty much just hacking people in half. So [the rating would be due to] violence and profanity, probably both."

I think this would be a good move granted, of course, that they won't go overboard with all the violence and profanity. Also, it's only natural for Snyder to bring some edge back into Batman as the character was undoubtedly watered down in Joss Whedon's version of the film. I'm definitely all for it going down.

Justice League drops on HBO Max in 2021.
